The Department has become an important venue in the preparation of the French Women’s Volleyball Team. Welcomed for the first time in September 2022, the French team returned to train in Moselle, notably in Academos’ gymnasium last May during a two-week training camp organized by the French Volleyball Federation. The players had the opportunity to compete against other European teams such as Hungary or Bulgaria in matches held in Terville or at “Les Arènes de Metz.

About us
Académos is an Olympic Games Preparation Centre for Paris 2024 which was designed and supported by the Department of Moselle (Moselle County Council). The site is dedicated to sports, with a fully equipped weight training room and sports hall, both of which are designed for elite sports training. Académos is also suitable for hosting training course events and welcoming the general public, with meeting rooms and co-working areas.
