The site
History of ACADEMOS
This ambitious project, devised and supported by the Moselle département, will see the renovation of the former Etablissement Régional d’Enseignement Adapté (Erea). This modern facility brings together exceptional infrastructures for sport, health and professional meetings. The site is dedicated to sports, in particular thanks to the presence of sports equipment for physical preparation and recovery for top-level athletes, the presence of the Moselle Département’s Sports and Youth Department and the sports committee house, but it is also dedicated to meetings and training.Sports and physical preparation :
Moselle Games preparation center facilities to Olympic and Paralympic standards (volleyball, seated volleyball, table tennis, handi-basket, boccia, etc. ), fitness and weight rooms, “sport-santé” area, steam room and sauna.
A center of excellence :
Headquarters of the Sports and Youth Department, home of the sports committees and preparation center for the Paris 2024 Games.
Additional services :
Accommodation (including 10 PMR rooms), catering for 130 people, and hosting entities such as SDIS 57 and the Moselle Mouv’ association for adapted physical activity.Academos is the place to be for athletes, associations and event organizers.
A site designed for hospitality
The Department of Moselle (Moselle County Council) has welcomed many international delegations to the area, most of which have used the Académos site’s infrastructures, such as women’s volleyball teams from France, Japan, Brazil, Argentina, Columbia, Canada, Belgium, Hungary, and Poland; as well as the men’s volleyball team from Brazil and the youth swimming team from Bolivia.

A shared site
This multi-functional site is currently shared by Académos, the Moselle Sports and Youth Directorate, Moselle’s Sports Committees, and the County Fire Services Department (SDIS). It has a sports centre, training centre, and lastly an area for welcoming the general public.
